Staff of Clayton Hotels, part of the Dalata Hotel Group, have enjoyed a classic, professional and comfortable boost to their working days with the addition of a new uniform suite provided by Tailored Image. Staff across every department have been provided with a uniform specifically selected for the individual roles including front of house, food & beverage, housekeeping, facilities, kitchen and transport staff. Tailored Image worked closely with the client to ensure a uniform solution that met the demands of each of these departments whilst keeping on-brand, professional and maintaining comfort as a priority.
Clayton Hotels are renowned for their warm personal connection and it was important to have this reflected in their wardrobe – including garments that spoke to the professionalism of the role but with a warm, personal effect. Having supplied many previous iterations of the Clayton uniform suite, this project had the added dimension of reflecting Clayton’s position as part of the wider Dalata Hotel Group. The brief was to achieve a wardrobe suitable for all staff across both Clayton and Maldon hotels, whilst providing a distinctive brand presence for the individual hotels.

A further 1,192 rooms are currently in development in the Group across Europe, with an ambition to grow to 21,000 rooms across Europe by 2030, and we look forward to working collaboratively with Delata to provide uniforms for this growing network of employees.
As with any hotel setting, front of house staff are of vital importance in striking the correct first impression with customers. For reception, traditional navy pin dot suiting was selected as the fabric of choice to reflect the group brand. For males, a choice of slim or tailored options is available to appeal to personal choice. These are adorned with a subtle logo to the left pocket and with the addition of a pocket square in the classic Clayton Jaffa orange, the brand makes a striking mark on the uniform. For female staff, a tailored or round neck suit jacket option paired is available, with the choice of a skirt or two one of two styles of trousers presents a more relaxed feel for the role of welcoming guests. These are contrasted beautifully with white tops with a beautiful pleat detail in either short or long-sleeved options according to season or personal preference.
Food and beverage staff perhaps have the more industrious task of moving between kitchen and customer on repeat and thus comfort is a key consideration. Tailored Image provided a range of comfy but classy chinos coupled with a grandad collar shirt which provides ease of wear but couples with a professional aesthetic. The statement piece is the embroidered denim effect apron with embroidered logo which provides a pop of colour.
As with many hotel chains across the UK and Ireland, Tailored Image provides a full quite of garments for this hospitality group, including cargo trousers, polo shirt & soft shell jackets for facilities staff, whites and aprons for chefs and porters and a relaxed polo shirt approach for house keeping staff.
